Travel insurance for pregnant women covers the risks involved in the travel of the pregnant women. Traveling to few adventurous and exotic locations by itself involve lots of risks. Traveling during pregnancy involves much more risk. Many insurance providers insure till 28th week of the pregnancy. But beyond that period, it is often difficult for individuals to find an insurance provider offering insurance for pregnant women.

With greater awareness and right attitude about pregnancy, many women travel even during their 34th week of the pregnancy. However, they will have a difficult time finding travel insurance. Since the delivery period is fast approaching, many insurance providers will not be willing to offer insurance at that point of time.

The travel insurance providers can directly be approached and requested for a policy. But some airlines will not allow pregnant women to travel beyond 35th or 36th week of the pregnancy. So the pregnant women should also check with the airline rules and guidelines.
