Flight insurance refers to the accidental death and dismemberment insurance for injuries caused by an airplane accident or crash. As with many such insurance policies, flight insurance policy also pays out the full face amount of the policy incase of loss of life or loss of two limbs or eyes.

Payments for other unforeseen events are also provided in flight insurance. Since commercial air travel is considered as safe, the costs of flight insurance is relatively less.
