Business travel insurance is specially designed for people those who travel for business reasons. Business tours call for special coverage as the traveler embarks his trip for business purposes. He usually represents his company. Mostly companies do not provide business travel insurance separately.

But the business traveler is the one who requires more coverage and an additional layer of protection. He may carry costly business equipments such as laptops and other digital equipments. So it makes sense that he should be given additional protection than a leisure traveler. Some insurance companies provide separate packages for business travelers.

Some employers those who are sensitive to their employees' needs and concerned about their safety usually take travel insurance policies for their employees. But the coverage provided by most of the insurance companies for business travelers are inadequate. There are also annual multi trip policies and other similar policies for business travelers.
